Morpheus 8 or Virtue RF: an honest comparison of two RF devices

Morpheus 8 by InMode is a solid, widely used platform. Its trump card is depth: up to 4 mm on the face, and deeper still with the Body handpiece, which is why it is popular for aggressive remodelling on the body. The nuances come from the needle design: in most configurations they are not insulated along their full length, so part of the energy is released on the way to the target, including the superficial layers. In practice that means a more noticeable treatment, more visible redness afterwards, and the need for careful settings on darker and tanned skin, which describes most people in Dubai.

Virtue RF solves the same task with different engineering. The Smart RF handpiece carries 36 microneedles with 24K gold plating and full insulation: energy is released only at the tip, at a set depth of up to 3.5 mm. The epidermis is not overheated, so the risk of burns and post-inflammatory pigmentation is minimal on any phototype. The second feature is micro-pulsed delivery: RF is applied in short controlled pulses, heating the dermis evenly to a therapeutic 41 to 43 degrees. Histology studies report new collagen fibres and fibroblasts in the dermis 14 to 21 days after treatment, which means real tissue renewal rather than temporary swelling.
