Endospheres therapy in Dubai: how silicone spheres work on cellulite, and what to expect after 6 sessions

Endospheres therapy is one of the most searched body treatments in Dubai: a roller of silicone spheres that vibrates and compresses the tissue instead of sucking it in.

Below is what the method does, what the studies show, and how Endospheres, RSL Sculptor and Icoone differ. At SOLAR this class of treatment is performed on RSL Sculptor with RSL technology, which adds red LED light to the spheres.
More about the procedure

What compressive microvibration is

Endospheres is the Italian method that made compressive microvibration famous. The handpiece contains a rotating cylinder with 55 hypoallergenic silicone spheres in a honeycomb pattern. As the cylinder turns over the skin, each sphere presses in and releases, producing rhythmic compression plus low-frequency vibration. According to the manufacturer, the frequency is adjusted per zone and goal, and the protocol covers the whole body rather than isolated "problem areas".

The idea is mechanical: thousands of small pushes per minute. Pooled fluid moves towards the lymph nodes, capillaries widen, and the fibrous septa that create cellulite dimples get a workout. No heat, no vacuum, no needles: it feels like a firm, vibrating massage.

Today the same principle is used by several devices. RSL Sculptor, the system installed at SOLAR, works with a roller of 72 silicone spheres and adds a high-intensity red LED (650 nm, according to the manufacturer) to the same handpiece. The manufacturer calls this combination RSL technology. So when clients in Dubai search for "Endospheres", what they need is sphere vibrocompression, and at SOLAR it is delivered on RSL Sculptor.

What the manufacturers claim and what studies actually support

The Endospheres manufacturer lists five effects: vascular action, lymphatic drainage, pain relief, body shaping and muscle toning. Some of this has been measured, some has not.
  • Microcirculation. A Russian prospective study of 27 women aged 40 to 69 with mild to moderate cellulite measured skin blood flow with laser Doppler flowmetry before and after 12 sessions, twice a week. Basal perfusion and the amplitude of microcirculatory oscillations increased significantly.
  • Cellulite appearance. An Italian study on 20 women used the TCD Code, a combined thermographic and clinical score, and reported a 40.14 percent decrease after 12 sessions over five weeks. Small and uncontrolled, so treat the number as a signal, not a guarantee.
  • Lymphatic stasis. Work led by Professor Raoul Saggini at G. D’Annunzio University in Chieti describes the vascularizing, draining, analgesic and restructuring responses of compressive microvibration and forms the scientific rationale that sphere-based devices rely on.
  • Red LED. The RSL Sculptor manufacturer states that 650 nm red light penetrates 4 to 5 mm and supports collagen and microcirculation. Its added value on top of the spheres is described by the manufacturer, not by independent trials.
  • Centimetres lost. Figures circulating online (waist minus 5 cm) come from marketing without a cited study. We do not treat them as proven.
The honest summary: sphere vibrocompression reliably improves fluid drainage and skin blood flow, and visibly smooths cellulite of grade 1 and 2 on the Nurnberger-Muller scale. Grade 3 cellulite, with fibrous nodules visible lying down, responds slower and usually needs a combined approach.

The 6 to 12 session protocol

Classic Endospheres body protocols quote 12 sessions, two or three times a week. For RSL Sculptor the manufacturer and SOLAR recommend 6 to 10 treatments 7 to 10 days apart, 15 to 60 minutes each depending on the zone, with maintenance once or twice a month. Facial protocols are shorter.

What changes along the way:
After six sessions expect a smoother surface and less swelling, not a different body. Volume changes depend on lifestyle, and both manufacturers pair the method with hydration, movement and reduced salt.

How it feels and who should skip it

Most clients describe a deep, rhythmic vibration that relaxes rather than hurts. Inner thighs and the back of the knees are more sensitive. Mild redness for an hour is normal; bruising is rare because there is no suction. There is no downtime, which is why RSL is booked on a lunch break as often as after work.

Contraindications from clinical and manufacturer sources: pregnancy and breastfeeding, thrombosis and phlebitis, severe varicose veins, anticoagulants and clotting disorders, active cancer and autoimmune disease, pacemakers and metal implants in the zone, uncontrolled hypertension, active herpes and skin infections. A consultation before the first session is not a formality.

Endospheres, RSL Sculptor and Icoone: an honest comparison

All three are mechanical, skip heat and needles, and are booked for the same reasons: swelling, cellulite, skin tone. The difference is how the stimulation is delivered.
Lean towards sphere vibrocompression (Endospheres or RSL) when you want an intense, almost sporty massage, your main complaint is fluid and heaviness, and you tolerate firm pressure. Within that group, RSL is the choice when skin quality matters as much as drainage: the light works on the surface while the spheres work in depth. Lean towards Icoone for sensitive skin, rosacea, a tendency to varicose veins, or the gentlest lymphatic work after surgery or childbirth. In Dubai, where the season runs from October to May and summer passes between air conditioning and the car, treating fluid and the face in one visit is often the deciding factor, and both RSL Sculptor and Icoone offer it.

At SOLAR both options are available: RSL Sculptor for sphere vibrocompression, and Icoone Laser Med for robotic drainage. A 60-minute Icoone session costs 882 AED and a 90-minute session 1213 AED; RSL Sculptor pricing depends on the zone and course length and is confirmed at the consultation. We described Icoone in detail in our article on Icoone robotic massage.

Where Tesla Former and Ulfit fit in

None of the sphere or roller systems builds muscle or destroys fat cells. For a firmer abdomen or lifted buttocks, the missing piece is electromagnetic muscle stimulation. Tesla Former delivers thousands of supramaximal contractions in 45 minutes (945 AED), and drainage on RSL Sculptor or Icoone afterwards clears metabolic by-products and post-training heaviness. For a stubborn local fat pocket, Ulfit focused ultrasound is added, with sphere drainage in the following days. A typical SOLAR programme: Tesla Former twice a week, RSL or Icoone once or twice a week, for 4 to 6 weeks.
